Taza Chocolate - Exit Stage Right

Taza Chocolate was one of the original vendors of the Boston Public Market when they opened back in 2015.

Well, their time at BPM is over, as I spotted a sign stating that they'll be closing on Saturday, October 13th to refocus their retail operation to the factory store in Somerville (561 Windsor St.).

If you need a reason to visit them in Somerville, they have their Day of the Dead Block Party on October 27th, from 12pm to 5pm.  It is free to attend, and includes food trucks, guest performances, and kids crafts.

Weighing in at 575 lbs, 801 lbs, and a mighty 1065 lbs, the great pumpkins have arrived at Boston Public Market and they need names!

The trio are located in the corner of the BPM by Bonme.  Stop by and fill out a slip with your submissions.

The Boston Public Market Kitchen

Chef Vanessa
The Kitchen at The Boston Public Market hosts a variety of programs including cooking lessons and workshops.  Many of them are for a fee ranging somewhere between $9-$60, with a discount for Members.

However, they also offer a free weekly cooking demo on Thursdays sponsored by Project Bread, which focuses on fast, fresh and delicious recipes.  These demos are led by Chef Vanessa Labranche, who is happy to chat with the audience as she prepares the day's recipe, although Chef Guy Koppe was a capable substitute one week.

Through these demos, I found myself not only sampling, but enjoying, dishes such as West African Chicken Peanut Stew, Red Beans in Coconut Sauce, and Soba Noodles with Stir Fried Vegetables.
